Compacted Soil Removal

(208) 449-1085

Drill and Trench Composting: This service removes some of your existing soil and replaces it with nutrient filled compost. Our soil replacement mixture consists of composts, multiple organic fungi that build strength to fight pests, organic nutrients, and fertilizer. We adjust the mixture to each specific locations needs. This service is considered 100% organic.

New trees and shrubs: New construction is done in a way that almost eliminates nutrients and natural fungi from the soil. This will replenish what has been destroyed during construction, and airify the soil so that your horticulture can breathe better.

Old mature Trees and Shrubs: These Trees and Shrubs have been sucking nutrients out of the soil for a long time. With fighting between Trees, shrubs, and grass for nutrition, it can leave your property empty of the necessary nutrients and fertilizer. We put this soil replacement 2 feet underground so the trees and shrubs are the only horticulture plants with access to the mixture. The Trees and Shrubs will continue to benefit from these nutrients and fungi for years to come.

The holes we create will also greatly benefit the tree to reduce the compaction. Most homeowners and business owners aerate their lawns. Trees and Shrubs need the same type of service. Trees and Shrubs can suffocate or struggle with compacted soil. With a better air to soil mixture, the natural life cycle of a tree and shrub will be easier. Nutrients can translocate through the vascular system quicker. In return, the tree and shrub will be able to grow healthier.

Two Options
house
  • Drill composting and soil replacement for trees or shrubs:
We drill down 2 feet, under the entire tree in a grid, and haul the old soil away, and replace it with a compost mixture that we determine is just right for your soil we remove, and the horticulture plants surroundings.
  • Trench composting and soil replacement for trees or shrubs:
We dig 4-10 different, 8 inch deep trenches from the base of your tree, out extending past the water drip line of the tree. We remove the soil, and replace it with the correct compost mixture. We roll back the sod during excavation to save it and roll it back after we are done.
Both options will last a long time, and keep benefiting the tree or shrub for years to come. These trenches will hold the nutrients, and as it rains or gets water, the nutrients will be absorbed over time.
