You and your provider must understand some of the basics

Over spraying will ruin the tree and/or shrubs natural immunity to pests, bugs, and tree disease.

Every time a tree service, lawn service, or landscape company, goes out to spray the horticulture plant, it needs to inspect the horticulture plant first.

The arborist must be able to identify every plant and species of trees and shrubs, AND the problem (if there even is one) that the arborist is trying to fix. We call this targeting a pest.

Some insects are actually beneficial to your horticulture. Not only should the person employed by your provider be able to identify each and every species of plants you have, but the arborist should be able to identify good and bad insects and diseases that will go away, or need to be treated.

house Can your provider identify the difference between an ambrosia, tiger, soldier, rove, water scavenger, and western pine beetle? This could be a big deal, because some of these kill other boring pests and leaf eaters, while some of these like the western pine beetle are one of the most devastating insect the west has seen.

What looks like a caterpillar might actually be a syrhid fly in its beginning stages, which feeds on aphids, flies, and mosquitoes. You can actually do more damage than good, if you're not inspecting the surroundings you're spraying. If you spay a shrub at the wrong time, you will actually promote the annoying pests growth like flies and mosquitoes.

The specific time of spraying is so important. Does your provider stay up to date on the cycles of ladybugs, praying mantis, and bees? Well if you spray insecticides all over your trees and shrubs during the ladybugs eating cycles, you will kill an insect that can eat up to 25 aphids a day. If you spray your flowering trees and shrubs at the wrong time you can kill the bees, which will drastically reduce the amount of flowering you will get. Its different timing EACH YEAR. The only way you know is to actually continually be inspecting the horticulture cycles.

If you have a spruce, fir, or pine tree, they may look kind of alike to you. But to spray an insecticide treatment to have the most benefit to these trees, it will take different chemicals for each species.

caterpillars on a leaf If your current tree service, lawn service, or landscaping service sprays for you now, and only has one tank on their truck, it is plainly obvious that they are using a broadband application method. This kind of tree and shrub spraying might get a little of everything, but is not really targeting what needs to be targeted in the most efficient manner.

Tree Doctor has 4 SEPARATE TANKS on each truck, and often will have to switch between all of them, just to complete one proper application to your property.

Tree Doctor has dedicated a lot of time and money into developing systems to provide these services for you in a way that sets the standard for this industry.
